Cultural Differences

Our little girl loves her brothers.



At night, she enjoys reading them bedtime stories. One of her favorites is "The Three Little Lambs".



I am sure that you know the story: three little lambs each build themselves a house .. one of straw, one of sticks and one of bricks .. then the big bad wolf comes along ..

I obviously purchased this book in Malaysia and the pigs were censored due to their unclean status. But, it is something that we constantly have to keep in the back of our minds. Recently we were organizing a craft for some special needs children that centered around farm animals. We had included pigs in the craft, but made sure that we could easily remove them if any Muslim families participated.
