View from the living room
Master bedroom
Behind the table is called the 'indoor patio'. We'll eventually use the space for a desk.
Dining area - it is quite bare.
View from the kitchen
Living Room - we just bought the rug. I couldn't stand walking around on the hard tile all day.
Our guest room - we'll buy some bedding as soon as someone comes to visit. Hint, hint ..
Our kitchen - the strange thing is that we have no hot water. Apparently it is a luxury to have hot water coming into your kitchen. So, I usually do our dishes in cold water .. unless I take the time to heat the water on the stove top.
Ella & Adlai's room
Ezra's room
Not a closet, but the maid's room. Really! Actually, this picture makes it look larger than it is. I'm not sure that it is long enough for a twin bed.
We are so thankful that we were set up with such a nice place. It is way more than what we need. The average hourly wage here is about $5 per hour and a Senior Software Engineer, for example, makes about $17,000 per year. I've told Case that I am embarrassed to be living in a nice place while the people who work here cleaning the grounds probably make about $1 per hour. (Since labor is so cheap, they employ lots of people and they actually had people mopping the road outside that leads into the parking garages.) Yet, I know that money doesn't buy happiness nor contentment (I've had many hard days here despite our accommodations.) I know that God has us here for a reason and I want to make the most of that opportunity however that may look.
