Last month we hit the big two year mark. Wow! Time certainly has flown for us. We are now into the last year of Case's contract. Actually, as of today, we have just eleven months left!
I had such good intentions with this blog. Moving overseas with a young family gives plenty of topics to write about. So many times, as I was sharing my day with Case, he insisted that I write a blog post about the events that had transpired. Some that I can remember are:
-"The Post Office Doesn't Have an Address" (One day I called the post office to get their address. Although no one was able to give me an address (even after getting transferred four times) they were able to give me fairly decent directions.)
-"What it was Really Like Having a Baby in a Foreign Country"
-"My Experiences with Driving on the Opposite Side of the Road in a Foreign Country"
-"Don't Be Alarmed if You Hear Me Say 'Lah' at the End of a Sentence"
-"Friendships with Expats - Someone Always Moves" and
-"Why I Chose to be Without a Maid"
As you can see, those posts never happened - but maybe someday?? For now I will blame my failure to update on having four kids, traveling around the world, getting over jet lag, a teething baby, this tropical heat, getting stuck in traffic jams and translating our utility bill. I will do a better job of chronicling our adventures. For now, for those of you who are not on Facebook, I'll just share some recent photos from our mini-vacation to Bali.
