We took a mini vacation last weekend to an island off the coast of Thailand. One of the luxuries of living here is the inexpensive, short flights to exotic tropical islands. We spent a lot of time in awe of the beauty of God's creation. I forgot my good camera, but thankfully Case had an old digital work camera in his briefcase. Although the quality of the photos isn't great, you can still see what a beautiful place we were able to visit.
Mom and Adlai
The hotel had two elephants on site. They made visits with the children every morning and afternoon
Ella enjoying the waves as the tide came in.
We met some friends from Colorado in Phuket. They are living in Thailand for four months. They have five boys and our kids thoroughly enjoyed their time with them. We also enjoyed the wonderful company.
Adlai on the boat to Phi Phi island. We took a speedboat to this incredible island off the coast of Phuket. Phi Phi Island is where the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed.
The water was really rough and the ride was extremely bumpy, but it was worth it to see this.
Snorkeling in the beautiful water. We didn't see as much as we had in the Cayman Islands because the coral had been damaged by the tsunami in December 2004.
Even Ezra had a great time. He spent a lot of time sleeping on the speed boat.
Adlai looking at the sites.
We took a quick hike to the top of Phi Phi Island to get these fantastic views. Thanks to the Henrys for watching our kids while we climbed the 50,000 steps. (Well, it may not have been that many, but it was a great workout).
Ezra enjoying some coconut milk
A final visit with the elephants. Notice that the elephant has been trained to pose & smile for the camera.
A final ride

It's nice to see you guys frolicking on exotic beaches. Last week I shoveled my driveway four times in 24 hours.
Amazing pictures. I wanna go there too! : )
